Destiny 2 Competitive Rewards: New Armor, Weapons, Emblems, and Map Changes
Bungie has revealed a new refresh for Destiny 2 Competitive rewards, bringing a new armor set, a new Competitive weapon, returning weapons, new emblems, and playlist map weighting updates.
The Competitive reward refresh is part of the Monument of Triumph update. One important detail for players: Competitive rank will not reset when the rewards refresh goes live.
New Competitive Armor Set: Per Audacia
The new Competitive armor set is called Per Audacia. This is the new Competitive / Glory armor set, and its bonuses are focused on Primary weapon final blows, mobility, sprint speed, and slide distance.

Per Audacia Armor Set Bonuses
- 2-Piece Bonus: Primary Chain — Primary ammo weapon final blows grant a stacking bonus to Mobility, Primary weapon range, and Primary weapon handling until you are defeated.
- 4-Piece Bonus: Sublime Transit — Increases Mobility and grants enhanced sprint speed and slide distance.
Bungie notes that the sprint and slide bonuses from Sublime Transit do not stack with enhanced sprint or slide effects from Exotics or abilities. However, they do stack with movement speed increases from scalar effects such as Lightweight or Killing Wind.
New Competitive Weapon: Solemn Lie
The new Competitive weapon is Solemn Lie, an Arc Lightweight 140 RPM Hand Cannon.
Competitive has a history of strong Crucible-focused weapons, and a new Lightweight Hand Cannon is likely to be one of the biggest chase items in the playlist once the update goes live.
Reprised Competitive Weapons
Bungie is bringing back several Competitive weapons as reprised rewards. These weapons return as part of the renewed Competitive offering:
- Rose
- Redrix’s Estoc
- Mercurial Overreach
- Deadlock
- Belisarius-D
- The Riposte
Returning Competitive Weapons
Two additional Competitive weapons are also returning:
- Solemn Remembrance
- Peculiar Charm
Between Solemn Lie, the reprised weapons, and returning weapons, the Competitive playlist is getting a much larger reward pool for players who want PvP-focused loot.
New Competitive Emblem: I Am the Crucible
Bungie is adding a new Competitive emblem called I Am the Crucible.
To unlock it, players need to win 77 games in the Competitive playlist.

New Ascendant 0 Emblem: Last Guardian Standing
Competitive players will also be able to earn a new Ascendant 0 emblem called Last Guardian Standing.
This emblem works similarly to the original Ascendant 0 emblem. Players earn points for wins in Ascendant 0, with more points awarded for wins at higher ranks. The number of points you have determines the emblem’s drop chance after a win.
Earning 1,000 points guarantees the emblem on your next win.
There is one extra requirement: progress toward Last Guardian Standing only begins after you have acquired Umbral Echelon, which Bungie says can still be earned.

Competitive Map Weighting Changes
Bungie is also adjusting Competitive map weighting. The goal is to reduce frustrating map and mode combinations and lower the chance of some less popular combinations appearing.
Reduced Map and Mode Weighting
- Solitude Clash — Reduced from High to Normal
- Dissonance Clash — Reduced from High to Very Low
- Rusted Lands Clash — Reduced from Normal to Low
- Widow’s Court Clash — Reduced from Low to Very Low
- Anomaly Collision — Reduced from Low to Very Low
Removed from Competitive Rotation
- Multiplex Collision — Reduced from Low to 0
- Exodus Blue Clash — Reduced from Very Low to 0
- Twilight Gap Clash — Reduced from Very Low to 0
- Vostok — Both modes reduced from Very Low to 0
These changes should make the playlist feel more consistent by cutting down on some of the combinations players found more frustrating.
Competitive Rank Will Not Reset
Even though Competitive is getting a reward refresh, Bungie confirmed that Competitive rank will not reset alongside the release.
That means players can chase the new rewards without being pushed back down the ladder at launch.
What This Means for Competitive Players
The Competitive playlist is getting a meaningful loot refresh. The new Per Audacia armor set should be especially interesting for players who value mobility, slide distance, sprint speed, and Primary weapon consistency.
The biggest weapon chase will likely be Solemn Lie, the new Arc Lightweight Hand Cannon. On top of that, the return of weapons like Rose, Mercurial Overreach, Deadlock, Belisarius-D, and The Riposte gives PvP players more reasons to jump back into Competitive.
The two new emblems also give long-term Competitive players clear goals: I Am the Crucible for winning 77 Competitive games, and Last Guardian Standing for players pushing into Ascendant 0.
